Come for the Music, Stay for the Cause

We are ALWAYS looking for new musicians to volunteer to donate their time in an effort to help our cause.  If you have a following on Facebook, we'd like to help you get your music out to our followers as well.

While our primary mission is to help out Gastro 638 (see our About page), if you would prefer that the money you raise go towards specific venues within Rocky Point, we can arrange this. All we ask is that at least 10% of what you raise to be allocated to our cause, Gastro 638.  We would need to know ahead of time, which venue(s) you are raising money for.  For example, Mark Mulligans show was 100% focused on our friends, Margarita Mermaids, for their fire disaster fund.

 

We are trying to do all broadcasts during the week at 7pm, local musician time and ask for a minimum of one hour of your time.

Please reach out to us at musicforrockypoint@gmail.com if you would like to help our cause or do a live stream for a specific venue in Rocky Point.  Please put your Band or Musician name in the subject line.

 

Once we both have agreed on a date and time, you will need to create a Facebook Event from the Facebook Page where you will be broadcasting your Live Stream from.  Please add "Music For Rocky Point" as the co-host of the event so we can help promote it.

 

In the description, please put YOUR information first.  Some information about your band and maybe even what genre you cover. 

If you are doing your Live Stream specifically for Music For Rocky Point, please copy/paste the below and place it at after your information in the description:

If you are doing your Live Stream for a specific venue(s), then you may prearrange your own donation links.  Again, we ask, and trust, that you would donate at least 10% of your proceeds to Music For Rocky Point.  If you use our links, trust in us that we will transfer 90% to the venue(s) of your choice.

Once you have the event set up, send us the link of it to musicforrockypoint@gmail.com so that we can add your event to our page as well.

Please be sure to promote your upcoming event through all of the groups you belong to as well as having your band members share the event on thier Facebook pages. 

IMPORTANT - Setting up your Live Stream:

When setting up your actual Live Stream, put the following in the description:

Start your Live Stream about 2 - 3  minutes before actual start time.  This gives people a chance to come aboard before you actually start and gives you time to do the following:

Once your Live Stream has started, share it to all of the pages you possibly can, including personal band member Facebook Pages and all related Facebook Groups.  This will ensure that your Live Stream will get as many viewers as possible.  We will be doing the same once your Live Stream is up.

 

Other than that, this is YOUR show. Just mention sometime during your show why you are donating your time and ask your audience to visit MusicForRockyPoint.com for more information. 

We will advertise your event, website and merchandise page on our Facebook Page, and on our SCHEDULE page.  After your performance, you will become a permanent part of our PREVIOUS SHOWS page.
